Remove all livestock (except resident ponies) for at least 4 consecutive months. When livestock are present, use shepherding or temporary fencing to keep them away from sensitive features. Do not provide supplementary feed, except for mineral licks away from sensitive areas. Create a written stocking and shepherding calendar at the start of each year.
