During the growing season, manage the sward by lightly grazing with cattle, or a combination of cattle and sheep, to achieve a mix of shorter and taller grasses. You must not cut the area for hay or silage.

This action must be carried out each year for the 3-year duration of the agreement.

tips_and_updates Additional Advice

To maximize benefits for farmland birds, locate this action near hedgerows or scrub, or away from tall structures depending on the target species. It is recommended to have at least 1 hectare of this action per 100ha of your farm. Grazing can be rotational or intermittent.
