Establish and maintain a 4m to 12m wide grass buffer strip on the edge of arable or horticultural land, buffering a landscape or heritage feature. In late summer, after the bird breeding season, you must cut part of the strip. You must not use the strip for access or storage, or apply fertilisers, manures, or pesticides (with exceptions for weed control).

The grass buffer strip must be established within the first 12 months of the agreement and maintained in the same location for the duration.
