tips_and_updates Additional Advice
- Invasive non-native species (INNS) are a major threat to biodiversity, spreading quickly and outcompeting native vegetation.
- Use this action for continual management after initial control with capital items.
- Follow your species management plan agreed with your adviser, which includes methods like chemical or mechanical removal to reduce INNS cover and allow native plant communities to colonize.
- Do not use this action for native invasive species like injurious weeds, gorse, rush, brambles, nettles, or bracken.
- Adhere to legislation and good practice for INNS control and disposal.
